What a delight! We had just come back from Madison Sq Garden, starving. Walked up from the subway, walked straight into this diner. Holy sh*t, it was good. Every Single thing we ate! Service was quick and friendly. I even wanted to go back the next day.

I went here for a late night bite. The French onion soups basically had raw garlic in it which totally turned me off. I told the waiter he didn't apologize or offer to replace it. Another staff member was yelling at a black man and kicked him out. I was scared frozen. Once he kicked the guy out he kept saying "stupid n*gger!"
I was scared I quietly paid and left. -

Food is good for delivery but actually eating here leaves something to be desired. It's hard to say what you're actually going to receive because sometimes the menu says one thing but you get something else.
It gets 2 stars because the staff are not great. Not friendly, slow, and they don't seem to really want to be there.
However, it's one of the few diners in the immediate area so it's nice to have it around for that reason. -

Honestly I never had such a bad service in the city. I'm a person that works in the hospitality industry, I come home late and I order delivery service at least 3 times a week. The walls on my building are very tiny (classic) and I always ask from the restaurants to please call me instead of ringing my bell when coming to my apt, I dont want to wake up my neighbors....
I called the restaurant to please ask them to call me and, for of some reason I didn't get the phone calls. I called them back to make sure everything was ok and after hanging the phone 3 times on me, the responsible of the phone (I don't want to think was the manager) started yelling at me that the delivery person was downstairs. I explained him I didn't get any call, that I constantly have bad reception with my phone and he couldn't stop yelling arguing about if the guy called me... I opened the door and the delivery person comes upstairs YELLING in the middle of the stairs, that he called me 15 times, what I'm not next to my phone and I answered him in Spanish the same about my reception. He was VERY VERY rude and started to insult me. I asked to him please don't be screaming because of my neighbors and he kept doing it. I told him PLEASE JUST LEAVE THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! I as always tip the 20% because as I said before I work in this industry, I actually manage a business in the city and this what they did yesterday seriously doesn't invite me to order EVER AGAIN from them!
By the way, I ordered matzo soup which was completely salty, couldnt eat it.
Ordered also pancakes which were the best part of the meal, big portion and were generous with the bacon.
3 chocolate milks.
Really bad experience, I hope they hire people with a better attitude and treat better their costumers, that at the end of the day is what makes the business survive. -

What a great diner! I've eaten here a couple of times and the food is always very good. Service is excellent and prices are below NYC gouging, which is fantastic! The only reason they don't get five stars? Well, the coffee is just so-so, but you get free refills! AND depending on how many are in your party, and I always have been in a larger group of 4 to 8...my French toast is lukewarm. I assume it's premade and the eggs are fresh off the griddle so I counteract it by ordering two eggs and putting them directly on top of the cold butter that's on top of the lukewarm French toast and 'Ta-da' I have the perfect breakfast! So they get 4 stars, which is still very good!!
I will definitely go back! My daughter wanted a breakfast wrap which isn't on the menu but they have lunch wraps, so she asked and our server was awesome about it! Just asked what she preferred inside! Her husband ordered a Western omelette and it was so hot he had to wait a minute to eat it! It was huge and came with potatoes that were wonderful!
The diner has a sunroom out front and that's where we sat and ate. Loved it because it was just a bit chilly and windy but we still felt like we were sitting outside!
Another great NYC find!!
